Dear Maxine Waters and the Democratic Party, You Don't Own Black Men not Our Voting Choices!

This is has to stop!! How can black Democrats be mad at Black men who have left and who are continuing to leave the Democratic plantation? Who does #MaxineWaters think she is? She is not a voice for black men! She has never been a voice for black men! She has been a member of that Coonin Bootlickin Carcass for decades now and black progress has yet to come from that group of OLD incompetent farts. She is the latest to have the nerve to attack black men as a group for the increase in their support for Trump. Who in the hell told black Democratic politicians, gays, women, and white liberal Democrats that they OWNED Black men and the rights to black men's voting choices? The arrogance of it all is astounding to say the least.

I have sat and read blog article after blog article, face book post after face book post, disparaging the growing support that Trump is receiving from Black men as well as attacking the intelligence of black men in the process. Its the weirdest shit. People are discussing Black men who support Trump and who have voted for Trump as if Black men belonged to them personally and somehow they broke away from the tight leash in the back yard and are now running around the neighborhood aimlessly. The nerve. The audacity. The unmitigated gall!

Black men are waking up and not so slowly to the bullshit of the Democratic Party. Black are realizing that the Democratic party has only placated the black community with symbolistic gestures over the past 50 years. No real tangibles. Black men also realized that black issues have ALWAYS been pushed to the side or to the back for LGBTQP, Immigrants, women, and Hispanic issues. Black men have realized that the Democratic party does not have a space for heterosexual, masculine, red pilled black men who think for themselves. Yeah. The bulk of Black men have been left behind. Harriet could not convince them that they were being mistreated on that plantation, so many of them decided to stay. The runaways are being called stupid and irresponsible for leaving. They are being told that they are making a huge mistake for walking away.

Just in case you need know this. All of the Black men who have left the democratic plantation did not head to the Republican party. I am pretty sure that many others who will be leaving the democratic plantation won't identify as Republican. As a matter of fact, if asked 90 percent of them probably would not identify with ANY party. I am an Independent, but with a Conservative twist. Most Black men who voted for Trump during the early voting period and those who plan to vote for Trump on November 3rd more than likely do not identify as a Republican.

So, Maxine Waters and others who feel the same way she does about Black men right now, you can kill the nonsense about black men who are refusing to be footstools for the Democratic party. Our departure. Our exit is your fault. Just like it was your fault that Trump got elected in 2016. If he is re elected on November 3rd, 2020, that will be your fault too. So, instead of trying to attack black men, you need to get your political party in check! You don't OWN us!! Tell em, #LeslieGore!

Judge Joe Brown for Mayor of Memphis. 1/4/2023

If he wins, I may just move back home! His election would send the clear message that Black Memphis is finally ready to make the much needed economic, educational, political and community changes in leadership and in the mindset of the people. To live in a majority black city that’s on the move and it’s not Atlanta, would definitely be the soup for my soul.  We ALL at some point want to return to our home towns and cities to help make things better and not feel like an army of one. “Nurturing Father/Son Bonds are Still in Style.” By Rico Rivers

  I saw this picture of gospel singer, Smokie Norful, circulating on Face Book on some black men’s pages and I just had to stop to read some of the comments on some of those pages. Sadly, a lot of the comments about the image in the photo clearly came from of places of ignorance, false doctrines and even insecurity. Some even implied that there was something gay about the picture. There is absolutely nothing gay about a man who is a father accepting an emotional token and/or a physical expression of love and appreciation from his son regardless of how old the son is. He is still this man’s child. Clearly, Smokie’s teenage son loves his daddy very much. What I see is a dad who created a trusting, loving, secured and stable environment for his child to grow up in.
