Judge Joe Brown for Mayor of Memphis. 1/4/2023

If he wins, I may just move back home! His election would send the clear message that Black Memphis is finally ready to make the much needed economic, educational, political and community changes in leadership and in the mindset of the people. To live in a majority black city that’s on the move and it’s not Atlanta, would definitely be the soup for my soul.  We ALL at some point want to return to our home towns and cities to help make things better and not feel like an army of one. I think with the election of Judge Joe Brown to the mayor’s seat in Memphis, Tennessee for a lot of us who left Memphis initially for better economic opportunities or in my case (to salvage my mental health) returning home would become more of a considerable reality. Dallas is an AWESOME CITY! Dallas/FortWorth is an amazing metroplex. I’ve been here for 15 years now and I still feel the same excitement about this place as I did when I first drove across the glorious sight of Lake Ray Hubbard into downtown Da

The true priorities of Black Democrats 12/8/22

The ASSIGNED priorities of the black elected Democrat are Benign Neglect as it relates to black Americans, be anti anything that sounds like reparations for American slavery, the continuation of free tax payer paid abortions, LGBTQPIA issues, pushing these weird pronouns, gender reassignment issues for minors, more millions for the whites and Jews in the Ukraine, immigrant rights, more millions for Israel, the proliferation of feminist rhetoric and women’s issues, and to support any anti nuclear family policies.,Oh, and to vote for any new pedophillia legislation that’s coming before the state and federal House and Senate.  Now, if you happen to come across a black Democrat who actively and publicly rejects these assigned priorities, try to vote him or her as your next city council person, school board rep, state rep, Mayor, county commissioner, etc. But be careful now. You just might be supporting someone who is not a true Democrat. Rico The Opinionist YouTube/Twitter/TikTok/FB/IG htt

Just Curious 12/27/22

Are any Black men watching “The Best Man” limited series on the Peacock App? I am asking because all that I have been reading are high praises from tons of Black women who have watched it and in quite a few cases, more than two times. Hmmm, there must an interracial relationship or a LGBTQPIA element or black men are being portrayed as being irresponsible, intellectually inept, aggressively patriarchal or misogynistic somewhere in this series in order for the women to love it so much.  The last Best Man movie was it for me. When the professor’s wife was shown about to suck off some college white boys and when Nia Long literally fought with the BETA male director, Malcolm D. Lee, to give her character a white love interest, I was done with those movies. I don’t trust Malcolm D. Lee as the writer or director.  The first one is my favorite and the only one that I will continue to watch. I don’t know about anyone else, but images as they relate to how black men, black women and black relat

“I Don’t Qualify to be a Democrat” 1/10/23

I am not a Democrat because after very careful review, it is apparent that I don’t qualify to be a Democrat. I’m not a Black woman. I’m not a single mother. I’m not an angry rage filled feminist. I’m not a homosexual. I’m not an illegal immigrant nor am I an immigrant at all for that matter. I’m not Asian or Pacific Islander. I’m not Native American. I’m not Ukrainian. I’m not a liberal white. I’m not a hard left leaning liberal Black. I’m not multiracial or mixed. I’m not a white Jew. I’m not trans in any shape, form or fashion. I don’t hate Donald Trump. I don’t hate Republicans. I don’t hate black conservatives. I don’t hate black males. I know what a woman is. I know what a man is. I don’t have any pronouns. I don’t promote nor celebrate single motherhood.  Finally, I know mental illness when I see it and when I hear it. My MLK Birthday Opinion 1/14/23

Although Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  went under the banner of a Baptist preacher, he was bigger than just being a Baptist preacher or even a Christian preacher. He was a Messenger. However, he did not start off as a Messenger. He actually started off as a prop of sorts that was used to eloquently convey the message of social integration by “higher ups” in the Black Baptist church community.  Initially, Dr. King had handlers (some who were not black) who gave him an approved script or speech for the masses. The approved script for social integration given to Dr. King to read and to promote to the world was the complete opposite of Malcolm X’s message of “Doing for Self” and “Self Determination” which is why I say WE as Black Americans should have listened to Malcolm X instead. Unfortunately, Dr. King was very loyal to the black Christian elite of that day. He truly believed that he was doing the right thing by preaching praying for the white enemy who beats you and spits on you. He tru
